Potential Leeds licensees given taste for life behind the bar

Business people across West Yorkshire are being invited to a special event dedicated to running pubs in the region.

Prospective landlords and landladies can get a taste for life behind the bar when one of the UK’s leading pub operators visits Elland Road Stadium next month.

Punch Taverns will give potential licensees the opportunity to find out about pubs available to let in the Yorkshire area and the support that Punch provides when their roadshow visits the area on Thursday October 10th.

Business people thinking about leasing a pub can meet with Punch representatives who will explain the assistance available including training, catering and marketing support.

Punch recruitment manager, Jason Gracey, said: “We are inviting prospective licensees who want to know more about running a pub to visit the roadshow and get advice on entering the trade. We have a range of around 4,200 pubs, from community locals to gastropubs, for licensees to take on with the freedom to run them as their own individual business, as well as having the backing and support of a trusted partner.

“We are constantly looking for innovative and creative people we can work in partnership with to build successful, sustainable businesses in our core estate of high quality pubs. Our licensees have come from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from teaching to banking, with core skills, such as customer service and management, which have helped make a success of their business.

The roadshow takes place at Elland Road Stadium from 10.30am until 4pm on Thursday 10th October. Anyone interested in attending can pre-register by calling 0844 848 3264.
