Funding helps Rosetta Brands Ltd secure FIFA contract
A company with units in Lancashire and Cumbria has obtained a £50,000 finance package to secure a lucrative distribution contract with FIFA, ahead of next year’s football World Cup.
Rosetta Brands Limited, founded in 2010 by fellow university buddies, Nick Comer and Steven Keable, is an online retailer who import and distribute exclusive gifts, gadgets, food and drink for unique brands and companies as well as also manufacturing some of the goods they retail.
The £50,000 funding from Enterprise Answers, a CDFI based in Penrith, will support the investment in the company to fulfil its contract as a distributor for Fan Ink that offers official licensed products for 2014 FIFA World Cup BrazilTM. The funding will also facilitate further growth from other US importers and distributers whom the company are currently negotiating with.
The company, which has seen its turnover quadruple over the last three years and is forecasting further growth to £1m by 2015, sees the securing of the FIFA contract as testament to its ability to deliver on a global scale.
Grahame Latus of Enterprise Answers which provided the funding says “Rosetta Brands is a classic example of some of the young businesses in our region who are displaying real entrepreneurial flair. For such a young brand to secure a FIFA contract is commendable and will provide positive leverage for the company to secure further lucrative contracts going forward”.
Enterprise Answers is a CDFI providing debt finance of up to £100,000 to businesses in Cumbria and North Lancashire.
