100 Newcastle jobs as Suffolk call centre operator opens shop
Around 100 jobs will be created as a Suffolk call centre operator is investing over £1 million in setting up a Newcastle operation.
Ipswich based Call Connection will open a 6,500 sq ft call centre at Pandon, on Newcastle Quayside, close to the Tyne Bridge.
An initial team of 25 staff will start the centre in January before a significant recruitment campaign will take place over the following 12 months.
In correspondence with Bdaily, Call Connection managing director, Graeme Kalbraier, said: “We are really looking forward to playing our part in the local community, starting with the creation of new jobs and the provision of first-class training for our staff.
“This is something for which Call Connection has long been recognised, having twice been awarded the prestigious Sunday Times Top 100 Company’ accolade, as well as holding the much coveted Investors in People Silver Award.”
The firm specialise in insurance sales and also operate the online insurance aggregator, tiger.co.uk. They work with well known brands such as Admiral, Aviva and The AA.
Founded in 2003 by the current management team Call Connection employs some 250 people at its Ipswich head office.
