Horwich Farrelly strengthens top team

Defendant litigation law firm, Horwich Farrelly, has expanded its top team with three new partners.

Specialist defendant litigation lawyer Claire Fox has been promoted to partner having previously been employed as a solicitor and associate at the firm.

She has been working in the field of personal injury and insurance disputes for over 19 years, and is a member of the forum of insurance lawyers and the civil mediation council.

Joining her from within the ranks of Horwich Farrelly is experienced civil litigation lawyer, Robert Bennett, who has also been promoted from associate.

Robert specialises in high value cases, dealing with professional indemnity, commercial disputes, banking disputes and PPI claims.

Making up the hat-trick is new appointment Michael Deery, who joins the firm as partner, bringing over 20 years of experience to the firm, and will advise global organisations and insurers in commercial and insurance law

He is also a qualified legal translator from French to English, bringing a new niche specialism to Horwich Farrelly.

Anthony Hughes, CEO of Horwich Farrelly, said: “Both Claire and Robert are well respected members of our team, and it is great to have been able to reward their hard work and see them progress to partner.

“Michael brings an added dimension to the team, as in him, we have an extremely experienced commercial lawyer, with a proven track record in high value cases.

“We have a very strong team here at Horwich Farrelly, and as we continue to grow, we are committed to providing the best service possible for our clients, and these new appointments will only help with that.”
