City forecasters expect even small investors to make instant profit, and the BBC report 99.75% of Royal Mail staff have chosen to accept free shares - worth about £2,0000.
Labour has called for the sale to be scrapped, suggesting the firm is being sold off on the cheap. The Government says it is committed to making sure small investors get a fair share of the allocation, but how will this work in practice?
