Retirement tributes for Tony Gregory after almost five decades of practising law

Highly respected lawyer Tony Gregory - the driving force behind legacy firm Keeble Hawson and a key part of the team which brought about the merger of hlw and Keeble Hawson in 2011 - is retiring after 46 years with the firm.

Mr Gregory, joint senior partner at hlw Keeble Hawson - which operates out of four offices across Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster - has played a pivotal role in the continued success and reputation of Keeble Hawson, the practice he joined as an assistant solicitor in 1967.

A string of career successes include being awarded the Jurisprudence prize in his final LLB exams and attaining the Sidney Herbert Clay prize in his 1967 qualifying exam where he achieved top marks out of lawyers articled in Yorkshire. In 2005 Mr Gregory was featured in the coveted Management category of The Lawyer’s Hot 100.
