Baldwins strengthens corporate finance team
One of the largest independent family-owned accountancy firms in the Midlands has further strengthened its Corporate Finance team with the appointment of Senior Executive Rory Dennis.
Rory has joined Baldwins accountants after working for six years at RSM Tenon where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
He was part of their corporate finance team for two years assisting on acquisitions, disposals, management-buy-outs and fundraisings and spent four years within the audit, tax and accounts department, performing compliance work for SMEs with turnovers between £1m and £80m.
Rory said he was joining a company which provided corporate services to a wide range of clients, while retaining the personal touch of a traditional firm which puts client service first.
He said: “Baldwins is an ambitious firm that has grown its corporate finance offering significantly since the appointment of Mark Selby in 2011 as Director of Corporate Finance. The opportunity to work with Mark, and gain greater experience of corporate transactions in the SME market, were significant drivers behind my decision to move.
“Most businesses continue to experience some volatility, and this creates challenges when it comes to making strategic business decisions.
“However, the current outlook remains encouraging and the continued period of stability should ultimately lead to a positive impact on bank lending, resulting in an increase in deal activity over the coming year.”
Mark Selby added: “Being able to attract talent like Rory says much of our reputation in the market place and our commitment to invest for the future.
“Our ambition and determination to deliver outstanding levels of expertise and client service to businesses across the Midlands is reflected in the growth and success of our expanding Corporate Finance team.”
