Award-winning office space getting above its station
A County Durham office block has found the ideal platform to spread the word about its award-winning facilities.
As well as being the birthplace of the railways Darlington is now also officially the ‘home of Lingfield Point’ – according to new signage installed in the town’s main line railway station!
With its aim of being Europe’s biggest sustainable mixed-use development now well on the way to being fulfilled, it was agreed the time was right to let people across the UK know more about it.
The signage will be seen by the 2.6 million travellers who pass through the town each year.
And John Orchard, a director of Marchday, which owns Lingfield Point, says it is bound to provoke curiosity.
“We like to do things differently here and having the chance to sponsor the signage at the station seemed like a fantastic opportunity,” he said.
“With millions of people, from all walks of life, passing through the station each year, it is bound to get them wondering what’s so special about us – I’m expecting a Google hotspot around the station!”
In keeping with the masterplan for Lingfield Point homes are now being built on site and the first residents will move in later this year.
Lingfield Point, which attracted around 27,000 visitors to the UK’s first ever Festival of Thrift, offers award-winning offices space and is already home to many prestigious businesses such as the Student Loans Company, AMEC, NAAFI, Four Seasons Health Care and FaulknerBrowns.
Its on-site facilities are unrivalled, with a child care nursery, catering, a 24-hour concierge service, workshops, courses and activities provided for its customers.
