Printer company director recognised as Legend

Phil Jones, managing director of Brother UK, has been announced as a recipient of a “Legends of Industry” award.

The awards, which recognise individuals for outstanding achievements within their own industries, are organised by children’s charity Variety.

Hosted at the Manchester Hilton Hotel, the black tie awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 24th October 2013 where other legends including singer Elkie Brooks and TV presenter Eamonn Holmes will be recognised.

Commenting on the recognition, Phil Jones said, “I’m delighted to have been identified for this award. I’m a very lucky guy to lead such an enthusiastic and positive community of people at Brother UK and could not be considered for anything as important as this without them.”

Phil Jones became managing director of Brother UK, a leading information, communications and technology brand, in April this year, having originally joined the Tameside headquartered company as a fax machine salesman in 1994.

The award follows a number of high profile accolades collected by Phil Jones, including the Institute of Directors ‘North West Director of the Year’ in 2010/2011.

Brother UK markets a range of products and services, supplying homeworkers, small and medium sized companies, larger corporates and the public sector with essential technology such as print solutions and web conferencing services.
