Exhibition returns to the Ricoh for ninth successive year

An exhibition for UK insurance brokers which has been held at the Ricoh Arena every year since it opened is returning for its ninth year.

Broker Expo 2013 will be staged in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall on Thursday, November 14 with over 770 visitors expected to attend.

One hundred exhibitors from across the UK and Europe will be there while a CII CPD accredited workshop programme has been organised along with 20-minute individual clinics with industry experts in the fields of accountancy and finance, legal services and compliance.

Phil Davison, publisher of Insurance Age, said the event was a key date in the industry because it was a chance for companies to showcase their products and services.

He said: “We have sold out all the exhibition stands which emphasises the popularity of Broker Expo as well as the fact we are providing a show which is well received by those working in the industry.

“The workshops throughout the day provide the delegates with a relaxed but thought provoking tour of some of the key topics faced by brokers over the past year, providing hints and tips for 2014. Support will be provided to help existing businesses grow, with marketing insights into fine tuning existing and new schemes.

“Our expert panellists will draw on the value of professional development for SME brokers, exploring benefits, risks, issues and best practices. The workshops are extremely interactive, encouraging debate and participation with the audience.

“We are delighted to be joined by CEO Peter Hancock and Google Dave, who will provide top advice on e-trading, and show you how he increased Organic traffic by 70% for Tesco Opticians and tripled online revenues, improved mobile engagement by 303% and improved unique purchases by 7404% at Dulux!

“We have organised an informative line-up of speakers to present on a wide range of subjects in workshops throughout the day which will help business growth, professional development and online trading.

“Delegates will have the chance to network with key figures from the industry to have the opportunity to develop their own business so it promises to be a hectic but informative day.”

He added: “We moved from the E.ON Lounge to the Jaguar Exhibition Hall four years ago which has allowed us to grow the exhibition in the Midlands.

“The Ricoh Arena is placed in an ideal location for brokers travelling from all over the UK and the facilities are fantastic.

“The team at the Ricoh Arena look after everyone really well and we are looking forward to this year’s show being a success once again.”

Chris Owen, senior event manager at the Ricoh Arena, said insurance brokers ranging from SMEs to global companies would be attending the one-day show.

“Broker Expo is among our longest-standing shows since they have been here every year since we opened in 2005,” he said.

“The range and quality of our facilities means we are perfectly placed to help exhibitions grow at the Ricoh Arena and Broker Expo is a perfect example of that.

“I am sure it will be a hive of activity once again since it is always well attended as niche companies as well as established brokers come together to network and meet old and new customers.”
