Social media matters

When I started out as a PA some 20 years ago, email was just becoming popular and IPads and IPhones had not yet been invented. My first company mobile phone resembled a brick and my PC was the size of a small house.

Fast forward some 20+ years and working from Iphones and Ipads is now the norm. Hand in hand with this technology, social media has rapidly arisen to become an integral and essential part of a company’s profile - but are you reaping the benefits? In fact, I’d go as far as to say that if you aren’t using social media, it probably looks strange to potential customers and can even deter them from using your company, product or service.

There is no doubt that for some companies, social media is a fantastic marketing tool – relatively cheap and very effective. Benefits can include increased customer awareness of you, your brand and your product/service, the potential for increased sales and the ability to respond quickly to customer feedback (thereby eliminating potential complaints).

If you choose to employ an expert, you’ll be able to focus on your core activities safe in the knowledge your blog, Twitter feed, Facebook page or LinkedIn profile (to name but a few …..) is being updated and reviewed on a regular basis. Your expert can advise on which channel best suits your business and they can ensure your updates are relevant, timely and effective. Let’s face it, your competitors are probably doing it already so why aren’t you?
