eLearning Gold Award Winner
Tyn Can Learning a Newcastle based education company travelled to London to attend the 2013 eLearning Awards.Tyn Can Learning is the UK Partner for Globisens manufacturer of the Labdisc a portable sensing and datalogging device which includes a GPS receiver so that scientific recordings can be made in the field and then be presented using map overlays on the iPad,Android and PC. The event was held at the Grosvenor Hotel in London. There were over 200 companies present on the night.The Labdisc received the Gold Award in the category “Most Innovative new learning hardware or software product”. The Managing Director of Tyn Can Learning Mike Carter was there to accept the award on behalf of Globisens. “I know this is a good product, I had hoped we may well be in with a chance of the Bronze award considering the other award nominees. I was really thrilled when they announced the Gold award for the Labdisc. This is now the third award the device has picked up, it is a special device which schools colleges and universities can use easily”.
