This week’s North East appointments
The Centre for Digital Business, which recently opened an office at the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) in Sunderland, has appointed Rachel Owers as digital training administrator.
The 23 year-old from Chester-le-Street will work alongside Andrew Atkins, director of the Centre for Digital Business and promote events including the forthcoming Introduction to Choosing a Good Web Agency workshop on November 27.
Andrew said: “I’m delighted to welcome Rachel to the team. She has a great understanding of what is needed in order to promote and host an event, and with such a busy programme of events coming up she really is going to hit the ground running.”
Newcastle-based PR and marketing agency Karol Marketing Group has appointed Northumbria University graduate, Simon Boddy as PR executive.
Simon said: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining such a dynamic and creative agency and to be working in Newcastle, where I studied for three years.
“This is a brilliant opportunity for me to work with a large number of prestigious brands and prominent regional, national and international organisations.
“The agency has an amazing reputation within the region and I’m very happy to be joining a highly experienced and specialist team.”
Blyth-based supplier of products to the oil and gas industries HTL has appointed a new global business development manager.
Jon Naylor joins HTL during a continued period of unprecedented growth in both domestic and international markets which sees the company HQ moving into larger 65,300 sq ft premises in the first quarter of 2014.
Jon will focus on bringing the HTL range of 100% British designed, manufactured and assembled products, to distributors across the world.
Tracy Newcombe joins care company SureCare as business development manager to help spearhead expansion in the North.
Tracy will be responsible for helping existing SureCare franchises and branches grow and working with new franchises as they launch in the North.
SureCare currently has 27 franchises and three branches in England, but the plan is to increase the number of franchises to more than 50 within two years.
