My Liverpool Home
Art students from The City of Liverpool College present a new exhibition: ‘My Liverpool Home’ next month. The exhibition will be held at the Carling Gallery on Bold Street and will promote the thoughts and feelings of students about their home city. The gallery will display a variety of work including mixed media; photographs; and textiles.
The exhibition will open on Friday 6th December for a month following a private view on Thursday 5th December. Students will be staffing the exhibition as part of their experience and will be available to discuss their work and inspirations.
Jan Schofield, head of school, said: ‘With the support of Jim Connolly, the owner of the Carling Gallery, the students have a unique opportunity to display their work. The general public can expect to see a high standard of work from our level 2 and 3 students. The challenge for our artists is to represent their work in a professional environment’.
My Liverpool Home exhibition starts on Friday 6th December, 9.45am to 6pm, Carling Gallery, Bold Street Liverpool.
