NWF Group grazing on £6.75m acquisition
Cheshire-based NWF Group has announced the £6.75 million acquisition of a Staffordshire animal feed manufacturer.
NWF, a specialist agricultural and distribution business based in Nantwich, has paid £6 million upfront in cash, with the further £750,000 following the issue of new NWF shares.
NWF produce and supply ruminant animal feed for dairy cows, need and sheep from its operations stretching from Scotland to Devon. They supplied 481,000 tonnes of feed in the financial year ended 31 May 2013.
SC Feeds has supplied ruminant feed since 1991 from its mill in Stone, Staffordshire and produces in excess of 80,000 tonnes of compound and blended product per annum.
In the year ended 30 April 2013, SC Feeds reported profit before taxation of £760,000 and net assets of £1.25m.
