Spire hospital team up with local charity for Christmas concert
Spire Liverpool Hospital is holding a Christmas concert in aid of Age UK and Mersey Harmony.
The award winning choir, Mersey Harmony is a registered charity with groups of women from all walks of life who perform acapella music in the barbershop style.
The Liverpool Ladies Barbershop singers have been established since 1976 and were instrumental in bringing ladies barbershop to the fore nationally. The group performs regularly at public and private functions to raise money for other charities.
Spire is supporting Mersey Harmony for this Christmas concert with proceeds from the event being shared between Mersey Harmony and Age UK.
Entertainment will be provided by Mersey Harmony, Ladies Barbershop Singers who will perform a full programme of Christmas music. There will also be another couple of acts on such as local entertainer/folk musician, Eddie Morris.
Alison Peake, Hospital Director at Spire Liverpool, said: “Mersey Harmony and Age UK are such worthwhile charities, we are thrilled to be supporting them with this concert. It is a good opportunity for us to celebrate Christmas and raise money for a good cause at the same time!”
The concert will be on December 7th, 7:30pm – 12:00am at St Anthony of Padua Church Club, Queen’s Driver, Liverpool. Tickets are £10 each with a half price concession for children.
