New Cheshire warehouse scheme could bring in 1,800 jobs
Up to 1,800 jobs could be created following the approval by planners of a Cheshire logistics development.
Cheshire East Council has approved Haughton Estate’s plans for the 149 acre Wardle Airfield, near Nantwich. The scheme could create up to 1,800 new jobs.
The site, which is to be rebranded as Cheshire Green, will accommodate up to 1.45m sq ft of new warehouse and storage space, and will require a new roundabout junction with the A51.
Conor Vallelly, principal planner at Manchester-based HOW Planning, who advised on the project, said: “The proposals will deliver much needed investment and jobs which aligns with the Council’s ambitious plans for sustainable economic growth and delivery of new housing.”
Fisher German Denton Clark and Lamonts are retained as joint agents at Cheshire Green.
