Aintree Racecourse is giving away 100 tickets on Christmas Eve to mark 100 day countdown
The Crabbie’s Grand National and Liverpool ONE are offering last minute Christmas shoppers a chance to bag one of 50 pairs of tickets to mark 100 days until the start of the 2014 Crabbie’s Grand National Festival.
The three-day festival – which culminates with the world’s most famous Steeple Chase The Crabbie’s Grand National – takes place at Aintree from Thursday April 3 to Saturday April 5. With the 100-day countdown beginning on Christmas Eve, 100 free tickets have been made available to customers at selected Liverpool ONE stores.
A pair of tickets for Tattersalls on Ladies Day will be given to each of the first five customers to spend £100 or more on Christmas Eve in any one of the following Liverpool ONE retailers: Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols, Boux Avenue, Coast, Dune, Hobbs, Karen Millen, Lipsy, Oasis, Reiss and Ted Baker ladies wear.
Any unclaimed prizes will be donated to local charities.
John Baker, Jockey Club North West Regional Director, said: “As Christmas Eve falls exactly 100 days before the start of this year’s festival, we thought it would be a fun idea to offer last minute shoppers the chance to get their hands on a really great prize.
“Imagine rushing around to get those last few presents then being handed an envelope, inside which is a voucher for free tickets to Ladies Day! It could be a great gift to yourself or a fantastic present for a loved one.
“The Crabbie’s Grand National Festival is an event of national and international significance but it also has an extra special significance for the North West, and it is important, in our home city, to give the public who support it so strongly every year the chance to experience it live.”
Tickets and hospitality packages are already available to purchase at www.thecrabbiesgrandnational.co.uk and via TicketQuarter in Queen Square, online at www.ticketquarter.co.uk or by calling 0844 8000 410.
