Vision Express announces Yorkshire expansion
Optical retailer Vision Express has announced the acquisition of 65 Rayner Opticians stores, including several in Yorkshire.
38 of the nationwide stores will become part of the Vision Express portfolio and will continue to trade from their existing locations, with their current teams, under Vision Express branding.
This includes stores in Baildon, Ilkley, Keighley, Selby, Whitby, Weatherby, and Yeadon.
This acquisition brings the firms total number of stores in the UK and Ireland to 367.
The twenty seven remaining properties will transfer optical services to nearby Vision Express premises and Vision Express will seek to retain the valued experience of the new teams within the Vision Express store network.
Last year saw Vision Express acquire twelve optical stores from Crown Eyeglass Ltd as it continues to focus on providing customers across the UK with a wide range of high quality products, expertise and commitment to customer service.
Jonathan Lawson, Chief Executive Officer said: “This is a very exciting time. The Vision Express brand and business has been performing strongly for the last three years.
“Therefore it is timely that we seek opportunities in the right location, to increase our market share and bring the Vision Express experience to our new customers, who we look forward to welcoming to our latest Vision Express stores.”
Kate Clayton, Director of Human Resources at Vision Express said, “We extend a warm welcome to each new member of the team and look forward to working together to ensure a seamless customer transition and ongoing customer service experience.”
