Taylor&Emmet shows support for dementia charity

Taylor&Emmet LLP is nominating the Alzheimer’s Society Sheffield as its charity of the year to help city residents affected by dementia.

The solicitors will be raising money for local services assisting people with dementia and carers living with the condition.

Staff from Taylor&Emmet’s offices in Sheffield, Dronfield and Bakewell vote for an annual charity from a shortlist put forward by colleagues. Alzheimer’s Society was championed by legal secretary, Christine Norman, and Danielle Golland, a legal assistant, who will play an integral role in this year’s activities.

Taylor&Emmet is organising a series of fundraising events, including themed dress down days, sponsored walks and book swaps. The firm is kicking off with a raffle at its annual dinner to win a spa day with treatments at the Clumber Park Hotel, near Worksop. Other prizes include afternoon tea at Andrew’s Cafe Tea Rooms in Sheffield and a hamper of wine and chocolate.

Claire Fletcher, Taylor&Emmet’s marketing co-ordinator, said: “The majority of our clients and staff are from the Sheffield area and selecting a local charity each year is our way of supporting the organisations that provide such invaluable assistance to these communities. Alzheimer’s Society is a lifeline for so many families affected by dementia and we hope that our fundraising will boost the excellent services it offers to the people and carers living with dementia in the city.”
