Digital Leaders North East programme hosts its first salon
Influential North East decision-makers from public, private and the academic sectors will come together to address the issues of the digital inclusion and digital skills development in the region’s first Digital Leaders North East salon.
Following a successful programme in London over the last couple of years, Digital Leaders is ready to extend its network and focus. The North East has been chosen to be the first region to benefit from the programme of regional and national events.
Senior executives will come together to discuss how to deliver sustainable digital transformation in the region that will fuel economic growth through joined up thinking and collaboration.
Chi Onwurah, MP for Newcastle Central welcomes the new initiative and says it’s crucial for the region to assemble great minds from different sectors to help tackle some of the challenges faced.
Gary Coyle, acting chairman of Digital Leaders North East and also the head of operations at Escher Group (UK), said: “I’m looking forward to bringing many influential and experienced minds together to help formulate a plan for the potential digital transformation and joined up thinking from the different sectors in the North East.”
The Agenda and future topics for each salon will be decided by a local steering group that will be representative across sectors and the North East region.
The salon takes place on Thursday 13th February at a central location in Newcastle and is already full.Following the salon, networking drinks will take place at Pitcher and Piano in Newcastle from 6.30pm onwards. Please register here to attend: http://digitalleaders.co.uk/dl-local/dl-north-east/
