Newcastle law firm target new markets with HR division
Newcastle-based law firm Hay & Kilner are hoping to take advantage of the market for HR services with a new division.
The firm’s HR Showcase has been designed by the employment team based on demand from existing clients.
Major North East employer Faltec Europe Ltd has been one of the first companies to use Hay & Kilner’s new service.
Faltec’s managing director, Chris Pennison, said: “The training was absolutely value for money - anything that keeps me out of the Employment Tribunal is more than value for money.”
Neil Dwyer, partner & head of Employment at Hay & Kilner commented: “Prevention is better than cure. We train managers to handle all aspects of any HR process better so their decisions stand the test, which usually means less claims or appeals are made. In the long run that saves management time and legal costs.
“We empathise with the managers as we all have years of legal experience dealing with these matters. Each HR Showcase programme is developed to meet the goals, budgets and time constraints of each business. We tailor sessions to meet requirements.”
