New £20m Liverpool student property development given go ahead
A Manchester based property developer has been granted planning permission for a new £20 million student property development in Liverpool.
Buile, part of Crosslane, forsee completion of the development of 314 en-suite beds and 9 studio flats - located on Vauxhall Road - in August 2015.
The site is being erected in place of a glassworks which is scheduled for demolition in March.
The development will contribute to the on-going growth of the city and its university status.
James Metcalf, one of the founders of Crosslane, said: “We pride ourselves on developing student accommodation in desirable locations to an excellent standard.
“Liverpool is a dynamic and exciting city with growing numbers of students looking for new, purpose-built facilities.
“The demand for student accommodation is increasing and these projects provide consistently positive and stable returns. Last year, Liverpool’s city centre student population swelled to 50,000. This project has the additional benefits of diversifying our UK footprint and building our portfolio of projects.”
This latest development show the significant expansion of Crosslane across the UK and their successful investment strategy.
