IT consultancy boosts team
AN IT consultancy on Teesside is aiming to build on recent success by appointing a business development manager to spearhead further expansion.
The High Tide Group which is based at Wynyard Park, has recruited David McGoohan, 49, who has spent the last eight years with chemical giant Huntsman as an IT project manager.
He is working closely with director and lead consultant Andrew Ingram who founded the company in 2008.
David who lives just outside Redcar, said: “I am delighted to be given this chance to work with a relatively young company that is very ambitious.
“I will be looking to take the business to a whole new level. I intend to make the most of the company’s current contracts and I will also be actively looking for new business opportunities.”
Andrew who is from Hartlepool, was previously the company’s sole employee - although he receives support from consultant Mike Robson and others who are brought in as and when required.
Andrew said: “Having worked for Huntsman for a number of years myself, I know David well and have worked closely with him.
“The High Tide Group is currently enjoying strong growth and I am keen to build on that. We are delighted to welcome David to the team and his appointment is an ideal fit for us at an ideal time. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and contacts.”
The High Tide Group specialises in IT solutions and services tailored to individual companies’ needs.
Last year, it scooped a £350,000 contract to design and build a new state-of-the-art IT system for Alcopa, one of Belgium’s largest companies with over 2,000 employees. Also, it recently played a key behind-the-scenes role at the Brussels Motor Show, providing IT support to Alcopa.
