Work starts on £400k on insulation industry body's Teesside headquarters
Work will start on the first phase of a £400k training centre and headquarters on Teesside for the Thermal Insulation Contractors’ Association (TICA).
The national body’s existing premises at Yarm Road Business Park will be developed to provide extra classrooms and meeting space.
TICA currently cater for the training of some 270 apprentices across England and Wales, and the move will allow them to expand into new Advanced Apprenticeship, which will be piloted in autumn
The first phase is due to be completed in early August with the second phase due to be operational from early October.
Stockton-based Cedar Construction has been appointed main contractor for the work.
Currently, TICA trains 272 apprentices from sites throughout England and Wales.
