Careline Lifestyles appoint Gentoo for £5m million care home
North-east based specialist care provider Careline Lifestyles has appointed Gentoo Construction, part of Gentoo Group, to build a new £5 million care facility in Hartlepool.
The new state of the art specialist care facility, will provide residential and nursing care to adults from Hartlepool and Teesside suffering from acquired or traumatic brain injuries and complex learning and physical disabilities.
Careline Lifestyles Chief Executive, Rahul Sharma, said: “Following a competitive tendering process Gentoo Construction has been chosen to build our new Hart Lodge facility due to their extensive experience in this field and excellent reputation for delivering projects on time, high quality and in budget.”
“Careline Lifestyles has a commitment to employing local people and are looking to create over 150 jobs once the facility is complete. There will also be the opportunity of further employment during the build phase which will enhance the local economy and support the regeneration of the area.”
Hart Lodge will support up to 46 people with 20 en-suite bedrooms, 15 one-bed apartments, three one-bed bungalows and four two-bed bungalows. Facilities within the home will include a hydrotherapy pool, creative suite with interactive whiteboards, training kitchens, sensory rooms, café bars, sensory garden and a winter garden enabling people to participate in the transitional pathway where they are supported to develop their daily living skills to become more independent.
Gentoo Construction Managing Director, Allan Thompson, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to build Careline Lifestyle’s new state of the art facility.
