North West law firm wins trio of new clients
A North West commercial law firm has won three new clients as the economic recovery fuels demand for specialist legal advice.
Garricks, which has offices in Blackburn and Wigan, has been appointed by award-winning Wigan-based data-management company Cloud Perspective, Warrington-based web and app developers The EMS Group, and Standish-based business advisory firm EPC Corporate.
Garricks is advising each business on a range of commercial legal matters. Of particular interest is the work being undertaken for EPC Corporate which advises blue-chip companies on how to implement systems designed to identify patterns of gambling among employees. EPC is also working with the PFA and other sporting bodies to assist its members on such issues.
Andy Herricks, corporate partner at Garricks, said: “We are seeing more companies, particularly owner-managed businesses and other SMEs, needing advice on legal matters relating to their expansion plans, such as intellectual property, new business contracts, joint ventures, new premises, recruitment and employment issues.”
Garricks specialises in corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, employment law, intellectual property issues, and property law. The firm advises clients across the North of England.
