Macbeth Launches New Financial Services Venture

Reading 25th March 2014: Macbeth, one of the Thames Valley’s fastest growing independent insurance brokers, has announced the launch of Macbeth Financial Services Ltd (MFS) to complement their existing group services, bringing a comprehensive new independent financial services offering to the region.

MFS comprises a range of services tailored to businesses and private clients and will include investments, retirement planning and financial protection. Employee benefits will also be an area of specialism for the new proposition, headed up by Simon Claxton, an independent financial adviser with 30 years’ experience advising businesses and high net worth individuals. Macbeth clients can now access an enhanced, seamless service, integrating insurance requirements with tailored financial solutions.

An identified gap in the market for a well-established, comprehensive IFA offering coupled with a growing demand for more specialist advice on financial matters from their client base gave rise for Macbeth to develop the concept for MFS. The new venture comes a year after the Retail Distribution Review, the FCA’s flagship initiative regulating financial advisers; the fall-out of this was many IFAs exiting the market due to a lack of qualifications.
