Hollyoaks stars team up with The Crabbie’s Grand National’s beauty and style partners to show off ideal Ladies Day looks
Hollyoaks actresses Anna Passey, Nikki Sanderson and Alex Fletcher brought an early glimpse of glamour to Aintree Racecourse as they tried out this season’s Ladies Day trends.
The trio, who play Sienna Blake, Maxine Minniver and Diane O’Connor were invited to the home of The Crabbie’s Grand National in Liverpool to sample some of the styles that will grace the three-day festival between April 3-5.
Liverpool ONE, the Crabbie’s Grand National’s official style partner, provided sophisticated outfits from Flannels with Nikki showing off a Dolce and Gabbana crystal trim dress, Anna wearing a Dolce and Gabbana blossom print midi dress and Alex in a cap sleeved jumpsuit by Malene Birger.
Their makeup and hair were styled by Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar, official beauty partner of The Crabbie’s Grand National Festival.
“I absolutely love my hair and makeup and this dress is fantastic,” said 29-year-old Anna. “It is always great when you get to look stylish and Ladies Day is the perfect excuse.”
For Alex, 36, who also starred in the soap Brookside and is originally from the Liverpool suburb of Childwall, The Crabbie’s Grand National Festival is a must-see event.
“This was a great way to warm up for the big day and get a feel for the type of outfits we might be wearing,” she said. “Ladies Day in particular is a glamorous day and this year is going to be fantastic.”
Nikki Sanderson agreed that Ladies Day at The Crabbie’s Grand National Festival was a major annual event.
“I think it will be a really great day,” said the 30-year-old. “Every year it is successful. Girls especially love Ladies Day as it’s a chance to dress up, go out with your friends and have a laugh together.”
