Clocking up the miles for Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Courier specialist Dynamic Despatch is racking up the miles for a series of very special deliveries to keep Yorkshire’s Air Ambulance on the move.
At the turn of the year the Leeds-based courier company was asked by Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) to transport pilot helmets from its Wakefield base to West Sussex for regular safety testing.
The special cargo has been transported a combined total of nearly three thousand miles already, all free of charge by Dynamic Despatch.
So far five helmets have each travelled a 500 mile round trip; carefully couriered by next day delivery to Headset Services Limited which supplies the aviation industry with headsets and flying helmets of all kinds.
Add to this two lifejackets each travelling a 130 mile round trip and the miles really do start to clock up.
Andrew Edwards, managing director of Dynamic Despatch said: “Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a tremendous asset to this region. We are proud we’re able to support the charity and play a part in ensuring its safety.”
Neale Jacobs, Office and Operations Manager for YAA said: “The service that Dynamic Despatch are providing to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance is invaluable.
“We have around 25 helmets that need servicing down south each year – having to pay to have them couriered there and back each time would become extremely costly for the Charity, but with the help of Dynamic Despatch we are able to avoid these costs. We cannot thank them enough for their generosity and support. As an independent charity, gestures such as this are extremely important to us.”
