Airedale supplies new John Lewis store in York
Leeds-based Airedale has supplied the new £15 million John Lewis shop which opened in York on 10 April 2014 with
The airconditioners are the first ever UK manufactured chiller incorporating the low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant R1234ze to hold BSI approval.
A spokesperson said: “John Lewis was built on the principles of being a responsible business and, as part of its wider corporate social responsibility strategy, is committed to reducing its carbon footprint.”
The new 92,000 square foot York department store will be the most sustainable of the 41 John Lewis shops.
The shop will have a range of sustainable design elements, such as energy-efficient cooling, low energy lighting and photovoltaic cells on the roof to generate renewable energy.
