Durham digital marketers expand into the North West

A firm of Durham-based digital marketers have expanded into the North West with the opening of a Lancashire office.

Belmont Business Park-based Digtal 22 have opened a Great Harwood office to cater for growing demand in the region.

The Pay-Per-Click (PPC) and Search engine Optimization (SEO) specialists currently handle a national and international client base, and say the North West is the perfect market for its ‘boutique’ brand.

Founded by Google and the Chartered Institute of Marketing certificated marketer Rikki Lear, Digital 22 employs three people in its Durham office and is soon to accommodate a workforce of four at it’s new outpost.

SEO services account for 70% of the firm’s business and Rikki says reputation has helped to secure long-term clients and word-of-mouth referrals.

Managing director Rikki said: “I am delighted that Digital 22 has expanded into a new area of the country and can now offer companies in Lancashire and the Ribble Valley an expert but local online marketing agency.

“We’ve previously looked at London, but the competition is fierce, and because we place ourselves as small, high quality operation - the North West is a perfect market for us.

“It’s much like the North East, where we’ve found great success. Our approach sets us apart from larger corporates, which works well in the regions.”

Rikki says a growth in social media management requirements is one of the key drivers behind the growth.

The firm currently provide services to clients such as ‘Shoes For Crews’ - an ecommerce seller of slip resistant shoes to the fast food and catering sector, and brick comparison website ‘Brickhunter’ - which has enjoyed fast growth due to shortages of bricks in the construction downturn.
