Wynyard Park, a 700-acre business park on Teesside, has pledged its support for this weekend’s Stockton Duathlon Festival.
It has put together a sponsorship package worth £1,000 for the run-cycle-run event which takes place on Sunday (April 27).
Development Director Matt Johnson will officially start one of the three races and present the winners with their prizes.
The event which is being staged by Stockton Council in partnership with racing experts TriHard and British Triathlon, is to be run over three distances - novice (2k run, 10k cycle, 1k run), sprint (5k run, 20k cycle, 2.5k run) and standard (10k run, 40k cycle and 5k run).
Mr Johnson said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Stockton Duathlon Festival because we are passionate about Teesside and the wider North-East region and this event really helps to put the area on the map.
“There is a real community focus to the event, with races taking place for athletes of all abilities. I’m looking forwrd to starting one of the races and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all competitors the very best of luck.”
Wynyard Park is currently home to around 70 companies which jointly employ some 2,000 people.
