Stagecoach report passenger growth across regional bus services
Transport provider Stagecoach says passenger volumes and revenue have grown year-on-year across its regional bus operations.
Like-for-like passenger volume growth for the forty-eight weeks to the end of March was 1.5%, although warned local authority budget cuts would curtail short-term future growth in concessionary and tendered revenue.
Commercial revenue contributed to overall revenue growth of 4.8% and Stagecoach said it would aim to continue this growth to offset inflationary cost pressures.
Stagecoach’s North American operations, including Megabus.com, saw revenye increase of 4.1%.
