Fresh Networking launches in Newcastle
A new networking event for young professionals is to launch this week in Newcastle city centre.
Fresh Networking (www.freshnetworking.biz) offers a different take on networking, mixing social with business in an informal setting every sixth Friday.
The first event will kick off at 8.30pm on Friday 9th May at Aspers Sports Bar, Newgate Street. Young entrepreneurs and professionals are invited to either turn up on the night or confirm their attendance via Eventbrite (www.bit.ly/1oqvYk2).
Unlike other networking meetings, there will be no fee or set structure, with attendees encouraged to bring a friend, socialise, have fun, and maybe even get some new business leads too.
Andrew and Pete from marketing company ‘Andrew and Pete’ (www.andrewandpete.com) have set up Fresh Networking along with Heather Williams from Talking Point Events (www.talkingpointevents.com) and two other entrepreneurs.
They said: “As young business owners ourselves, we know that it can be difficult to meet like-minded people of a similar age, especially when you’re so busy running your business.
“We have spent a lot of time networking in the North East since we started the business and saw a gap in the market for more informal, relaxed networking events aimed specifically at young professionals. We’re looking forward to the first event and to hopefully meeting lots of new people.”
