Newcastle digital agency increase headcount
East digital media agency has expanded its workforce by 20% in the latest stage of a rolling recruitment programme.
Shout Digital, located on the Newcastle quayside, which specialises in web design and digital media services, was recently voted North East Marketing Business of the Year for the third year running and was awarded runner-up in the category of Digital Agency of the Year at the prestigious Mi Awards in Manchester.
Now, it has strengthened its 21-strong team with the appointment of five employees in the first round of a recruitment drive, which will ultimately double its existing workforce within the next three years.
Among the new starters at the agency, whose North East clients include NOVA, Sage and legal firm Bond Dickinson, is industry expert Michael Dunbar who will become part of the senior management team in his role as head of web development and who has more than 10 years’ experience in the field.
He will be joined at Shout Digital by fellow new starter Dr Michael Batty, who brings more than 15 years experience to his new role as application developer.
A former mathematics lecturer at some of the UK and Ireland’s top universities, he is an experienced web developer, researcher and author and his work on The Utopia Enquiry is also nominated for a BAFTA Television Craft Award 2014.
In addition, Mark Pattinson, who has worked with high end brands such as Hugo Boss and Mulberry, has been appointed creative designer, while Michelle Ward has been recruited as senior account manager and Shane Appleby joins the firm as mobile app developer.
Shout Digital CEO Gary Boon, said: “All our new starters are exceptional in their particular fields and our clients, here in the UK and internationally, will benefit considerably from their expertise and experience.”
