LCH to host conference on the Sexual Safety of children
Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust’s Sexual Health Service is to host a full day conference event on the Sexual Safety of Children which will mark the International Day for the Protection of the Child.
Taking place on Tuesday 3rd June 2014, the event will be hosted at the Trust’s Headquarters at Liverpool Innovation Park and will focus on a range of key issues for health and social care professionals surrounding the sexual safety of children and young people.
The event aims to help train and equip professionals from the Trust and a range of other local agencies who are working to support the sexual safety of children and young people.
The event will be officially opened by UK Victims Commissioner Baroness Newlove, who recently announced her decision to become a Patron to SAFE Place, Merseyside’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) which is run by the Trust’s Sexual Health Team.
Leading Sexualised Crime Specialist, Zoe Loderick will be the keynote speaker for the event and will be presenting on: ‘How perpetrators think, and how they target children’.
