Profit Programme breakfast puts manufacturers on right track to business success
Local manufacturers are invited to see excellence in action at train wheel and axle manufacturer Lucchini UK, which opens up its Trafford Park factory for a Manufacturing Profit Programme breakfast event on Wednesday 18 June.
The free event, organised by The Manufacturing Institute, will include a factory tour and presentation on Lucchini’s successful LukoMotion continuous improvement programme.
The Manufacturing Institute will introduce its Profit Programme, which provides funded support to help local manufacturers increase efficiency, drive sales and marketing, develop skills, unlock cashflow and boost innovation.
CLB Coopers will provide advice on R&D tax credits, and HSBC will make a presentation on SME funding for export.
Lucchini has more than 100 years history in Trafford Park. More recently, it has invested £15m to make it a one-stop shop for passenger and freight wheelsets and gearboxes. The Manufacturing Institute is supporting Lucchini with its continuous improvement drive.
Dr Julie Madigan, Chief Executive of The Manufacturing Institute, said: “Lucchini is a fine example of manufacturing excellence and will provide some valuable insights for visitors. We are proud to be working with the company, through our Profit Programme, and look forward to outlining the expert support and funding that is available to build success in other companies.”
