Horizonworks go out to bat for Durham
Newcastle-based marketing company, Horizonworks, has joined the Durham County Cricket Club team this season – as a creative partner.
Horizonworks has been appointed by the Chester-le-Street based club to deliver its creative work – including advertising, brochures and promotional material – and will be supporting Durham CCC’s marketing team in promoting both on and off-field activities.
2014 is set to be an exciting year for Durham CCC – the team will be defending their LV= County Championship title, as well as competing in the Natwest T20 Blast and the inaugural Royal London One Day Cup, while the Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground will host England and Sri Lanka for a one day international fixture in May.
The Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground is now established as one of the North East’s premier venues and hosts major concerts, as well as weddings and corporate events.
Horizonworks’ work for Durham CCC has already included directing photo shoots with a number of star players and creating print, online and outdoor design material for the Natwest T20 Blast competition and One Day International.
Speaking about their new partnership with Horizonworks, Sarah Baggott, senior marketing manager at Durham CCC, said: “We were attracted to Horizonworks’ dynamic and innovative approach to creative and design work. The company has a strong brand and design portfolio and we’re excited to begin working together.”
Samantha Davidson, managing director of Horizonworks, added: “We’re thrilled to be working with one of the regions true sporting success stories. We look forward to supporting Durham CCC in promoting match day activities as well as its off-field activities.”
Durham CCC is one of many firms to have recently come on-board with Horizonworks, which includes companies such as membership support network Institute of Water, high security panel manufacturer Securiclad and independent shipping and freight forwarding company Johnson Partners.
These companies join Horizonworks’ extensive client list, which includes vehicle electronics specialist Hyperdrive Innovation, leading full service law firm PGS Law, research partnership N8 and renewable energy experts Gaia Heat.
The full service marketing company offer strategic marketing, public relations, design, brand development and digital marketing support across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, life sciences, technology, memberships and networks, and professional services.
