Elevation rises to the charity catwalk challenge
Over 500 well-known business figures from across the region turned out to support the annual, highly anticipated Professionals Fashion Show Ball, hosted earlier this week at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, raising a total of £4,000 for the charity Cancer Research UK.
Elevation Recruitment were the headline sponsors for this year’s event, which saw professional leaders take to the cat walk in aid of the charity to showcase the latest trends on loan from a number of leading fashion collections including John Lewis; Seasons and Accent clothing.
During the black-tie event the Model Employee Awards, another highlight in the Yorkshire Business Calendar, designed to recognise and reward the efforts of the audience and the event’s participants throughout the course of the year, were announced, as voted for by their contemporaries.
Awards for this year were given in the following categories: Law Firm with Outstanding Service; Most Helpful Bank; Best Business to Work For; Male Rising Star; Female Rising Star; and Personality of the Year; with Elevation’s Joint Managing Director Lee Bhandal presenting Senior Partner Arif Ahmad on behalf of PwC Leeds the award for Accountancy Firm with Outstanding Service.
Elevation Recruitment’s Joint Managing Director, Lee Bhandal commented: “It was a momentous event for the regional business community, celebrating success while raising money for a very worthwhile charity at the same time. Elevation was very proud to be part of that.”
Lisa Revolta, the key organiser of the event added: “The Professionals Fashion Show was another roaring success this year. Great fun was had by all – and once again we’ve spotted some potential modelling talent among our regional business leaders! Thank you to everyone who was involved, and particularly to our key sponsors, including Elevation who enabled it to happen.”
