Stockport welcomes Britain’s biggest Volkswagen showroom

Britain’s largest Volkswagen showroom is set to open its doors in style this week, as the Mayor of Stockport cuts the ribbon at the new state-of-the-art facility.

The facility, on Green Lane, will be formally unveiled exactly 174 years after the town’s other massive feat of engineering excellence – the Stockport Viaduct – on Wednesday 4th June (10.30am).

Opening this new showroom is a huge thrill for Inchcape Volkswagen, and having such an important local dignitary as the Mayor coming to cut the ribbon makes it extra special.

The company is honoured that Councillor Chris Murphy and Mayoress Dot Murphy are able to attend this most exciting event and looks forward to welcoming them to the brand new premises.

The eye-catching building has been designed to give customers a relaxed and enjoyable experience in light and airy contemporary surroundings.

In addition to being able to display the entire Volkswagen range, the business will have an enlarged Approved Used Volkswagen display and the brand’s innovative ‘digital showroom’ with iPads to enable customers to design their dream car.

There will also be a 28-bay workshop fitted with the latest diagnostic equipment and increased courtesy car fleet, to improve servicing efficiency for customers, along with on-site smart repairs and valeting facilities – and even an electric vehicle charging station.

All together, the new facility allows the company to maintain the very high standards of service and care that customers have come to expect from Stockport Volkswagen.

The new facility, which took nine months to construct, has also enabled the merger of the company’s Stockport and Hyde businesses into one site.
