North East firm seeks new engineers
A recruitment firm with operations in the North East and Scotland is looking for engineers after securing a number of new contracts.
First Class Technical Recruitment, the technical employment specialists, is creating two new jobs to help meet new demand.
The company, which has operations in Newcastle, Aberdeen and Middlesbrough and employs five people, is looking to recruit those with engineering experience who can apply their technical, industry knowledge to help clients address their skills and employment requirements.
This has proven to be a successful formula for the business, which supports the recruitment of skilled technical and engineering personnel for industries including the chemical, oil & gas, renewables and utility sectors.
Among its recent contract wins, First Class is working with global recruitment outsourcing providers Ochre House, sourcing experienced electrical, mechanical, piping and EC&I engineers for the air products gasification plant on Teesside and other sites across the UK.
In the chemical sector, First Class has been engaged by chemical company INEOS Nitriles to source EC&I, Process and Turnaround Project Engineers.
Director James Gill said: “Our in-depth sector knowledge, gained by building a team with extensive experience from careers in industry, has enabled the business to secure some high profile contracts.
“The availability of experienced engineers is at a premium so it’s important for companies recruiting for mid-level technical roles to be able to engage with an employment specialist that has a detailed understanding, not only of their industry, but of the requirements and challenges of particular roles.
“We are proud of the growth we are achieving and in particular the opportunity to create new jobs.
“These roles will be particularly suitable for engineers looking for a subtle career change, while still being able to make the most of decades of industry experience and expertise.”
