Aldi expansion creates 10 new jobs
A supermarket has re-opened in the region after an expansion which has created 10 new jobs.
The revamped Aldi store in Seaham, County Durham, opened its doors to customers on Thursday.
Shoppers were treated to entertainment during the re-opening, which has seen 940 square metres being added to its shop floor and around 1,350 product lines.
Aldi say the shop, which first opened in 1995, has grown in size to meet increased demand, with bosses sure it will create a better shopping environment for customers.
Store Manager Luke Fawcett said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming customers back into our new look store in Seaham, which has been expanded to meet customer demand and will allow us to offer an increased number of product lines at affordable prices.”
Following its reopening, the store will be open from Monday to Saturday, 8am to 9pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm
