Jon Walklin joins as Data Investigations specialist for Fusion Experience
FusionExperience today announces the appointment of Jon Walklin as Head of Data Investigation. As part of his new role, Jon is responsible for spearheading data investigation projects that use Anomaly42, the smart data platform. His appointment will consolidate FusionExperience’s position as a premier partner of Anomaly42.
Jon brings over 25 years of experience in forensic investigation work for government, legal, commercial business and UK Police Forces. Most recently he was Director of Digital Forensics and Technology Development at Guidepost Technology.
Jon joins FusionExperience at a time of unprecedented growth. His appointment coincides with several new large customer wins and the commencement of investigative projects in the UK, Europe and USA. This growth has led to the need for the rapid expansion of the Data Scientists group that Jon will head up.
Steve Edkins, Chief Executive Officer, FusionExperience said:
“We are delighted to welcome Jon to FusionExperience. We are developing skills and a knowledge base as we continue to build on the success of our Anomaly42 practice. It is essential that we develop our own skills and experience in forensic data investigation in order that we can properly meet the needs of our growing customer base”.
Jon Walklin, Head of Data Investigation, FusionExperience added:
“In the past police and investigators were often hampered by a lack of data. Now in many serious cases there can be too much data and vital evidence can take valuable time to locate or at worst be missed altogether. It is very exciting to be working with the data technology that can link and visualise the relationship between different data entities, evaluate method and performance and enhance the effectiveness of the investigation team.”
