Sunny days ahead for Beaches Transport
New start haulage firm, Beaches Transport (“Beaches”) has secured a £600,000 funding package from Manchester based invoice finance specialists, Positive Cashflow Finance (“Positive”). Beaches was incorporated in January 2014 by Stephen Garbett, Michael Walker and Kevin O’Neill who collectively have a vast amount of experience and contacts within the industry.
Based in Birtley, County Durham, the company expects to achieve a turnover of £3m in year 1 with aspirations to achieve sales of £5m in 2015. Paul Wilcock from Montpelier Chartered Accountants in Thornton-Cleverleys has assisted the business in its early stages and continues to work closely with the business.
With vehicle ï¬Ânance, staff wages and fuel being ï¬Âxed monthly costs, there will be little ï¬Âexibility for Beaches when it comes to paying suppliers. The finance facility will ensure they have the cash available to support their growth plans and will also take away the stress of waiting for customers to pay their outstanding invoices.
Stephen Garbett, managing director at Beaches, said: “We are delighted that Positive bought into our plans for the future and were happy to support our ambitious growth plans.”
We have the experience, expertise and contacts to run a very successful business; however we also need funding to assist us and by choosing Positive, we believe we can build a healthy working relationship.“
Phil Chesham, sales and marketing director at Positive, said: “When meeting with Stephen and the rest of the management team, we were immediately comfortable with the business and found their enthusiasm for the future refreshing.
“We had no hesitation when underwriting the facility and are delighted to be involved with Beaches and look forward to assisting them in achieving their goals over the next few years.”
Positive is an independent invoice finance provider with offices in Manchester and Birmingham offering facilities from £10,000 to £1m.
