Northumberland engineering firm announces office expansion plans
Engineering business Osborne Engineering today announced expansion plans with funding from Barclays.
Based at North Nelson Industrial Estate, Cramlington, Osborne Engineering Limited (OEL) manufactures and repairs white metal bearings together with the supply and repair of fuel systems and training for the gas and oil industry.
Exports account for over 60% of production with supplies predominantly going to Europe and USA.
The company, which employs over 100 staff across Northumberland and is expecting turnover this year in excess of £6 million, has announced the opening of a new Aberdeen office.
Justine Beer, Finance Manager, OEL Limited: “Despite the recession and through continuous investment we have launched innovative new products which have allowed us to buck the trend.
“Having grown significantly in the UK and overseas, we are now ready to launch a new office in Aberdeen and increase our support and training service to the gas and oil industry. A key factor in making this investment is that Barclays provided a sound solution for our current operations, trading capabilities and future ambitions.”
