The new appointment boosts the total number of client-facing Directors within the Commercial Banking team in Manchester to 11. With the relevant support and business development function, the team now boasts 30 staff.

As well as holding a degree in Mathematics from the University of Sheffield, Mr Errington is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He is currently studying to become a member of the Association of Chartered Treasurers.

He said: “Manchester’s strong business community continues to mark it out as a hub for economic success, and it’s exciting to be joining a team with a clear mandate to support this growth. I’m looking forward to supporting our existing and prospective clients to contribute to the region’s future success.”

Dave Allanson, Area Director for Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking in Manchester, East Cheshire & East Lancashire, said: “Our Manchester office now has a stronger team of dealmakers than ever before.

“Demand for lending from North West businesses across a diverse range of sectors grew significantly during 2013 and continues into 2014. This growth shows every sign of continuing, and the team in Manchester is in great shape to work with businesses across the region to support their growth strategies.”
