D&S Services install latest machinery
County Durham firm D&S Services have just invested in the latest AMADA /4 metre 170 tonne press break.
Thanks to our new AMADA HFE II press brake, we have increased our capability and can now fold materials up to 4 metres in length.
D&S Services spent the beginning of July preparing the workshop for the arrival of the new AMADA HFE II/ 4 metre press brake. The arrival of the press brake was carefully scheduled around workload months in advance to make sure there was no disruption to our customer base.
The decision comes as a result of our customers ever changing requirements and our desire to have ever improving capabilities.
The first task was to get the old machine out and to clean and make room for the new one. Tuesday morning saw the arrival of the new press, which was commissioned that day followed by a full day of intense training.
With full CNC and on screen programming as well as the very latest software we have seen improved quality of finished parts, increased productivity and the ability to turn around one offs quicker and improving lead times on repeat orders.
Alongside our new press brake we also have plasma cutting and welding services making us one of the leading fabricators in County Durham.
