London Oyster Card holder design agency relocates to Barnsley
London design agency Carbon Cube Design has relocated to Barnsley Digital Media Centre from the capital.
Carbon Cube Design, which was set up seven years ago specialises solely in designing and producing personalised Oyster Card holders for London businesses.
The business has worked with companies such as Skype, NHS, Starbucks, West Ham Football Club, as well as many start-ups.
The business is ran by two friends, who after managing through the tough times of the UK economy between 2008 and 2012 are now on the front-foot looking to expand on the growth they’ve acquired since. Carbon Cube Designs’ intention is to double its workforce by 2015, with focus on new geographic areas.
The decision was made to relocate from London to Barnsley earlier this year to help cut costs, enhance communications with its Yorkshire-based supplier, and expand the business’s client portfolio in the North.
Gareth Scargill, DMC centre manager, said: “I’m thrilled to be welcoming Carbon Cube Design into the centre and it’s incredible to have a London business choosing Barnsley as its new base.”
Antony Pannuto, managing partner of Carbon Cube Design, explained: “It’s a really fun time for the business and those involved with us. We have targets set through to 2015 that through hard-graft and an open-mind we believe can be achieved!”
“We were originally looking for premises further afield from Barnsley, however after seeing the Digital Media Centre how could we say no?
“The infrastructure, the facilities, the service, and more importantly the people that run Barnsley DMC is all amazing! It’s nice to say we have a place that we feel we can call home during this exciting time in the business.”
