Housing association appoints new board member
A housing association has bolstered its team by adding an experienced property development professional to the board.
Fiona Coleman has joined the Railway Housing Association Board of Trustees following an extensive recruitment and selection process.
Fiona works as a Senior Development Manager for Broadacres Housing Association and has 25 years’ experience in the social housing sector.
This is the mother-of-three’s first board appointment and she says she is looking forward to this new challenge.
Fiona said: “I have been looking to do something on a voluntary basis and to give something back and now my children are grown up, it has freed up my time to allow me to do this.
“I hope to be able to use my experience in property development to advise the Association and effectively act as a sounding board for the team at Railway.
“It is a fantastic opportunity for me and one I am really looking forward to.”
Anne Rowlands, Chief Executive of Railway Housing Association, said: “We were specifically hoping to recruit someone with property development and technical expertise, so we are very pleased to have been able to appoint Fiona.
“Her experience working for a larger housing association with developments across Yorkshire will stand us in good stead.”
